It’s true: You really don’t know what you don’t know.
Before working with Capital Campaign Masters, we thought all we had to do was put our plans for a spiffy new theatre together and start asking people for money. Thankfully, CCM opened our eyes and we realize now that we can’t expect to get the big gifts we’ll need from people who haven’t been involved in the process.
We worked with our coach from CCM for 6 months: compiled our top donors, drafted our case for support, and met with donors to ask for their advice and support. We learned more from that process than we ever imagined. Gradually, our case got sharper and more compelling. Our donors got more engaged. And our staff and board came to understand how capital campaigns really work.
Now, with some guidance from CCM, we’ve just hired a great consultant who was super impressed by the work we had done. He tells us that our prospects for a successful campaign are terrific!

Answers to Your Questions
Is campaign coaching right for my organization?
Campaign coaching may be perfect for you and your organization…
- If your organization is ready to plan a campaign…
- If your Executive Director and Board Chair are firmly committed to a campaign…
- If you’re ready and willing to work on campaign planning.
What do I need to qualify?
To qualify for the coaching program, you must be:
- Actively planning a capital campaign.
- Have the time and energy to devote to moving your campaign forward.
And if you’re truly ready to plan your campaign… watch out! Because, once you begin working with us, you’ll make more progress than you ever imagined.
What does pre-campaign coaching cost?
Applying for coaching is completely FREE. However, should you be accepted into the program and choose to join, you must be ready to invest both time and money in making sure your campaign is headed for success.
Our minimum coaching commitment is 4 months, at a cost of $5,800. After the initial four months, organizations may continue on with a month-to-month commitment so we can continue to work with them until they are ready to engage a campaign consultant or elect to switch over to as-needed campaign coaching with us.
Who are the coaches?
Together these individuals are a formidable coaching team, combining experience and wisdom with humor and compassion.
Will we still need a campaign consultant?
Yes. This coaching program will get you ready for a campaign, but then you will need a consultant to conduct a feasibility or campaign planning study and then guide you through your campaign. CCM does not offer those services, but we will help you select a consultant that’s the right fit for your organization.
When does the next coaching session begin?
We accept coaching clients on a rolling basis, depending the availability of our coaches to take on a new client.
What kind of results can I expect?
Once your organization is campaign-ready, you can expect to move into your campaign and succeed! You and your board will be ready and confident.
Plus, you’ll save money when you hire your capital campaign consultant because you’ll already have what they need for a successful study in place.
You have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to gain.
Capital Campaign coaching has shown us how important it is to involve our donors in the planning, listening to their viewpoints and engaging them long before we’re ready to ask them for gifts.
